I'm on Red Hat's Identity Management team, working on 389 Directory Server — have been for over 10 years now. Building features, debugging hard customer problems, security hardening, diagnostic tools. I also maintain python-ldap, pyasn1, and OpenLDAP for Fedora and RHEL.

Outside of work, I run Dungeons & Dragons style games (Pathfinder 1e/2e, Cosmere RPG). Not that different from software engineering, really — learn complex systems fast, figure out what people actually need, make something engaging enough that they come back.

Ten years of software engineering, six years of game mastering — turns out they have more in common than you'd think.
